Abstract

Con la pubblicazione di questa posizione ufficiale, la Associazione Italiana Psicologia dello Sport e dell’esercizio (A.I.P.S.) intende proseguire il suo impegno per supportare psicologhe e psicologi dello sport e di tutti i professionisti del sistema sportivo per garantire esperienze sportive sicure e di qualità attraverso la promozione del safeguarding nello sport, una responsabilità condivisa collettivamente dai membri della nostra associazione, sia a livello di gruppo professionale che individuale. In questo articolo, forniamo una breve panoramica della ricerca scientifica sui maltrattamenti, sugli abusi, sulla violenza interpersonale e sul safeguarding nello sport in un contesto italiano, concentrandoci sulla tutela delle atlete e degli atleti e non solo. La posizione ufficiale sul safeguarding nello sport di A.I.P.S. include, inoltre, alcune raccomandazioni, linee guida e buone pratiche che ci auguriamo forniranno ai lettori conoscenze per riconoscere, prevenire e rispondere professionalmente ai maltrattamenti, agli abusi, alla violenza interpersonale nello sport. Attraverso la diffusione della cultura del safeguarding tra le socie e i soci della A.I.P.S., miriamo a ispirare e responsabilizzare sia i giovani colleghi che i professionisti più esperti in psicologia dello sport e dell'esercizio a promuovere relazioni, spazi e pratiche sportive più sicure e positive.
